Some parts of me were not made to be shared.
Fragments and pieces, not necessarily scared but
not yet ready to see the light of day.

I know what some of you folks will say.
You’re putting this out there for everyone to see but
Don’t you get it? They’re just a part of me.

Not purposely hidden but not yet ready for show and tell;
not ready for the criticisms or those that wish you well.
Just quietly relaxing; taking their time.

And one day, one day there will be everything that’s mine.
There it all is, no big announcement, no great show.
Just sitting; nothing to run from, and yet nowhere to go.
